Chuck season 3

I’m still following Chuck and i love how it turned out. The show was cancelled after two seasons, but because of the successful petition, they were back with another full season.

I just finished watching the last 3 episodes and after the last encounter in the second season, the intersect in Chuck’s brain was upgraded. Not only he downloads information, he can also upload now. The upload enables him to instantly learn how to fight, like martial arts or handle a gun. He’s still the same old geek we all knew and loved. He has really come a long way. He sure knows his way around security cameras and other electronic devices.

Guest starring on the previous episodes is Brandon Routh, another reason why i love the show. He’s just so good looking and his height is a plus. Kristin Kreuk has also been in the past 3 or 4 episodes. I don’t really think she fits in there.

Work is keeping from doing my usual online activity. After work, i am too tired to go to the shop and go online. I mostly end up staying at home, in my room, watching TV or DVD. After an hour, i’d be too sleepy to watch another episode or show. After i got slightly used to the sleeping habit, i have had less than 8 hours of sleep.

I miss watching House and i’ve missed some episodes. Since i got Zachary, i’ve been trying to catch up with my favorites US shows. I think i am also updated with Grey’s Anatomy. Did you know that you can get oximeter in the market? I didn’t. I only see those on hospital themed shows or movies.

House is still using the same title intro since season 1. I kinda like it.

My first laptop ever happens to be a Macbook

And i didn’t even buy it, i got it for free! How? It started in December when Helga joined the Twilight contest from Fizzer.ph, where she won a Canon Rebel 450D. Before that contest ended, another contest was in place, the New Year Blowout, where 5 people could win a Macbook, PSP3, HP Mini Notebook, PSP 3000, and iPod nano 5th Gen, respectively. The mechanics where simple, all we had to do was refer other people to the site. We’d get a point for every referral that uploaded a photo and added a school they went to.

Long story short, i won first place and am now using a 13″ Macbook Pro. I am extremely happy that i still can’t believe i have this right now. I named it Zachary, because it’ll be like my boyfriend for the next couple of years or so. Hahaha!

One thing i realized is that having a macbook is going to be pretty expensive. I checked out the accessories at the mall and if i decide to save up for them, i’d be broke before Christmas. But then, i would only purchase items that i really need, and if there is a cheaper alternative, i’d get that instead.

While i was at the store, i saw these really cool ipods, they’re so small! I wonder if those are what they call the 5th gen.

CSI LV Seasons 7, 8, and 9

Finally finished seasons 7, 8, and 9, which i think, took me maybe 2-3 months(?) to finish them all. In season 7, they encountered the miniature killer, who ended up harassing the CSI’s and took Sarah Sidle as the next victim. I thought that was the end of Sarah, but it turns out that she is still alive and was saved just in time, but this experience had her think more about herself. In season 8, she decides to leave the lab and Grissom behind.

It’s now Warrick’s turn to be in the spotlight in season 8, when his investigation leads him to a mobster named Gedda who framed him for killing a stripper (who has no adult acne). Warrick got obsessed in trying to put Gedda behind bars that he hired a private investigator when Grissom told him to step off the case. This season made me cry so hard because Warrick died in the end. I felt like i was part of the team and worked with them since day 1.

After 9 episodes from Season 9, we meet Dr. Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne), a well-known criminal pathologist, who helps the CSIs in investigating a serial case. This is also Grissom’s last case as he decides to leave the lab too and go after Sarah. I will forever miss Grissom but i am happy with the choice of having Fishburne added to the group.

CSI NY Season 5

I am currently trying to finish season 5 of CSI NY. In my opinion, LV is still more interesting, but NY has Gary Sinise! He’s one of the reasons why i watched CSI NY. I think he looks so cool.

Anyway, one of the season’s side story is about some Greek gold coins that have circulated in the market. It is said that these are priceless and should be kept in a museum. Fortunately, the coins fall in the hands of Detective Stella Bonasera and after her life was threatened, she won’t stop until she solves this case. I’m at the part where she sent one of the suspects back to where he was wanted for a crime, and the other suspect was found dead in his room. I’m guessing the real culprit is the guy who Stella talked to about the coins, but it could also be another twist to the story. I can’t wait to find out what happens next and get on with the stories.

The Time Traveler’s Wife

I kinda regret not seeing this movie right away, i heard great reviews about it and the book caught my attention even before i learned that it was going to be a movie. Better late than never.

The Time Traveler’s Wife is such a nice, but sad, love story. I have loved Rachel McAdams ever since i saw The Notebook, i realized how beautiful and talented she is. The story is about a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage. Time travel stories always have complications in them, but i loved this one because it was unique and very intriguing.

Normally when he read or see stories with a time traveler in it, the person has control of his/her ability, but in Henry’s case, it’s uncontrollable. He would unexpectedly disappear in reappear without knowing when and where he is. With this kind of traveling, he doesn’t even need a motorhome.

I highly recommend this movie to everyone who loves a romantic drama, something a little different from the norm.

Starring Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana.

Old Dogs Premiere Night

Two weeks late with this entry. I kept putting it off, but last week, i won 2 tickets to the Old Dogs Premiere Night. I was supposed to take my mom with me, but there was an engine problem with the plane they were taking so they had to go back to San Francisco. I took my cousin Sarah instead.

I won the premiere night tickets from the radio station, i was tuned in and the DJ was giving away tickets to the premiere night of Old Dogs. I sent my answers via text and i was fortunate enough to win. When i first blogged about it, i read some write ups that the movie wasn’t good, and that it was very predictable and a cliche. But when we saw it, i had so much fun because it was hilarious and every scene was just too funny. Well, it could be just me, but the whole theater was roaring with laughter. Or maybe us Filipinos have a different sense of humor.

Staring two of my favorite actors, John Travolta and Robin Williams, with Kelly Preston and Seth Green. Also featuring Conner Rayburn and Ella Bleu Travolta, who was just so adorable. I recommend this feel good family comedy to everyone. You will surely enjoy it.

Anyway, i’ve been looking for a job online. So far i have not received any notifications from the companies i applied for. I will have to go to their offices instead. Philadelphia jobs, however, are available to anyone in the States.

Dollhouse season 1

I remember taking note of Dollhouse and putting it under my imaginary “will check out” list. As usual, i forgot about it until i saw the DVD copy. I watched it right away and finished the whole first season.

The storyline is similar with Surrogates and the concept from Matrix, but Dollhouse use real people, real brainwashed people. According to Imdb.com, the plot of Dollhouse, “A futuristic laboratory assigns different tasks to its various residents, who then have their memories erased upon the completion of their assignments.”

Eliza Dushku is Echo, a resident of the dollhouse, she’s the best doll in the house. The dolls are imprinted with whatever the client wants, it could be anything, and the doll won’t remember anything that happened between him/her and the client after the “treatment”. You could have an Orlando vacation and take a doll to accompany you, with your choice of personality and traits.

The show has really caught my interest and i’m waiting for a DVD release of the 2nd season. I was surprised to hear Dushku sing, she has a good voice.

still failing to exercise

February is just around the corner and i still haven’t gone swimming! I told myself at the beginning of the year that i would do some lapping to at least have little exercise in my everyday life. I don’t want to resort to body fat burner to lose the extra pounds, i want to work hard for it! I’m still hoping to lose the inches before my 25th birthday this May. I need to work out!

poor sleeping habits affects our health

Recently, my mom got sick because of the stress in her job and with me (LOL), and she doesn’t get enough sleep at night. She doesn’t take sleep aids except for the medication she’s taking since she got sick.

She spends her nights playing in her netbook till he gets sleepy, i told her twice to stop playing and get some sleep so she’ll get better but she won’t listen. Said i don’t have the right to tell her what to do. And i was only concern because she’s getting worse. Oh well.

acne could be your worse nightmare

My cousin had an acne problem, it started when she reached high school. She was shy and kept to herself, then one day she decided to get treatment. I suggested she search for acne treatment reviews before she gets it treated. Better be sure before going for it.

It was an awkward stage in her life, but she finally got rid of those horrible acne. What a relief. The treatment worked for her and it gave a boost on her self-esteem.

For the past week, my uncle’s family and my mom haven’t been feeling well. There has been coughing, sore throats, some had the sniffles, except for me. I always said i have a very strong immune system. The only time i have been really sick was when i got German measles 10 years ago, apart from that, I’ve only had tonsillitis and flu.

I told them to take the best vitamin supplements, but it would be costly because there’s 7 of them in the family. My mom, needs rest. She’s been working really hard and does not get enough sleep.
