Barbados!

Posted by nix On September - 30 - 2008

I came across this beautiful island in the Caribbean. I found it online of course, while surfing for beach resorts or islands. I’m pretending i’m rich and that i could go wherever i want.

Anyway, It’s the island of Barbados. It’s the first time I’ve heard about it so i searched in Wikipedia. I was curious to were it was located and according to WIki, Barbados, situated just east of the Caribbean Sea, is an independent island nation in the western Atlantic Ocean. Cool huh?

So i checked out Barbados villa rentals and you’re seeing one in the picture above. Isn’t it beautiful? It’s now added to my mental list of places to go to when i get rich. Hahaha!

Band Schmand

Posted by nix On July - 5 - 2008

i copied this thingie from Grysh and i thought it would be really funny to do.

Here goes..

1 - Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
If you want to do this again, you’ll hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again.

3 - Go to flickr’s “explore the last seven days” http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Go to http://www.randomwebsite.com/
The first ten links you end up in (minus the .com’s) are your 10 song titles.

Band name: Krypton difluoride (not bad.)

ALbum name: Philisophy of the Spirit (pretty cool.)

ALbum cover:  (CUTE!)

Songs:

1) Southern

2) Jelly Fant

Posted by nix On March - 9 - 2008

I’m so sleepy right now. My left eye is twitching since Tuesday and i can’t get enough sleep!

Have you heard of Naples plastic surgery? I think they’re good. They were featured in magazines like Allure and Glamour. The website is informative and they offer the best in the area. Though i have idea where Naples is. All i know is it is in America, which state? I have no idea. Let me search..

According to Mr. Wikipedia, Naples is a city in Florida. Oooh! I’ve never been to Florida or any State. I don’t have a VISA yet. I hope i get one soon. If you’re in the area, check out Naples plastic surgery.

meso what?

Posted by nix On February - 18 - 2008

According to Wikipedia:

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos. In this disease, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart).

Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos, or by home renovation using asbestos cement products. Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking.

Hmm.. so that’s what mesothelioma is. That goes for people who have worked at companies or factories where they have close contact to asbestos and have inhaled its particles. Now i know that it is dangerous and the public should be aware about instances like this.

We often get in close contact with different kinds of chemicals in our daily lives. How do we know that our body is not affected? Isn’t asbestos the round thing that people put in their bathroom? With this kind of information, we should be careful with what we inhale as it may affect our lungs.

If you think you’ve inhaled too much asbestos particles or any chemicals for that matter, go to the doctor for a check-up. It could be mesothelioma or worse. Could there be anything worse?

Thanks to the world wide web and Wikipedia with their useful information.
