Izzie Stevens may get brain tumor

Posted by nix On July - 19 - 2008

If you’re a Grey’s Anatomy fan you probably know who Izzie Steven is. Dr. Isobel Stevens is a character played by Katherine Heigl. I’ve read previously about her decision to withdraw from the Emmy race because she felt that she “wasn’t given the material to warrant a nomination”, *SPOILER* the staffers are considering giving her character a brain tumor.

From US Weekly

“[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her,” the source tells Us. “It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.”

Also,

And a second source thinks the story arc, ironically, may not be a bad thing for Heigl: “If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!”

LMAO. I think it’s torture. If ever Heigl’s character does get a brain tumor, she doesn’t know if she’ll live or die. Has anyone ever survived that?

I miss Grey’s Anatomy. I can’t wait for the next season to air.

Knocked Up

Posted by nix On February - 5 - 2008

Watched Knocked Up on DVD this morning. Starring Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen.

Plot Outline: For fun loving party animal Ben Stone, the last thing he ever expected was for his one night stand to show up on his doorstep eight weeks later to tell him she’s pregnant.

We all know, or maybe not, Katherine Heigl from Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Izzie Stevens, which got her an Emmy and 2 Golden Globe nominations. And now she was also nominated for a Satellite Award for Knocked Up.

I find the movie funny and a little dramatic at some points. And the love story was really nice. This movie also teaches us something like:

  • Never get drunk at parties; or
  • If you plan to get drunk, be sure to have someone you know with you. i.e. friends
  • Also, do not invite a total stranger into your house
  • And never, ever have sex with someone you do not know, or you’ll end up like Alison Scott.

Although things ended up pretty well in the end, it’s just a movie. We could say that some parts of the movie is true, and some of them aren’t. I can’t pin point which those are.

I rate this movie 8.3 out of 10.
