random and Prisonbreak

Posted by nix On March - 24 - 2007

Everytime i think of something interesting (atleast i think they are) to write about, i forget what it is when i open the computer and go online. Sometimes, i am at lost for words. Trying very hard to come up with something interesting to read, i end up writing weird things or blab about something no one else can relate to.

For someone who was born the month and day i was born, i’m supposed to be someone who could write well, someone who tells good stories. I am a person with a great imagination. My brain works differently from the rest of the people around me. And yet, being a contradiction to myself, i have a hard time expressing what i feel, what i think, what i say.

I often find myself forgetting things that i shouldn’t have forgotten in the first place. I think of writing about things that happen around me, or things that i saw on t.v. But like i said, whenever i go online, the though suddenly fades. I hate it.

I finished watching Prisonbreak on DVD this afternoon. I started watching it yesterday. I’ve seen some episodes of it on T.V. It was cut to the part where they were going to escape. I don’t know why, but i know that it is part of season one. I was thinking that maybe they included it as part of season 2 to get the owner of the DVD excited. Thoug i’ve seen that part on t.v., i still want to find out what happens next. I just hope that the part missing from my copies is with the season 2, or else i’d have to look for it somewhere.

Wentworth Miller is so handsome. I so love his face, his eyes, his lips. I want to touch his beautiful face. *drools* I remember the old layout i made featuring him. I was thinking of changing its colorscheme and put it up again. He’s so hot. -sigh-

P.S. I just did a search and found out that there are more episodes missing than what i thought. I thought i was only missing episode 14 but it turns out, season one is up to 22 episodes! *omg*

Because i said so..

Posted by nix On March - 19 - 2007

I went to Shangri-La today after i paid for mom’s dues. I haven’t seen any movies on theater lately so i decided that maybe i could go and see one, if the timing is right. Dreamgirls is one of the movies that i didn’t want to miss but it started at 4pm and the next showing was 7pm, so i watched “Because I Said So” instead.

I’m not a Mandy Moore fan. Infact, i hated didn’t like her. Not that i changed my mind, but she’s one of the few people that i like from the people i don’t like. Watching A Walk to Remember more than 5 times, she started to grow on me. I’ve seen her other movies like Try Seventeen, How to Deal, and Saved. I even wanted to see American Dreamz but some people gave it bad reviews so i told myself to watch it in DVD instead when i find one. For someone who didn’t like Mandy Moore, i sure have seen most of her movies. Haha! I was in high school when i decided to not like her, because of Nick Carter. I didn’t like the way she sang, she keeps on pouting her lips, which hasn’t changed. Although she pouts it less and i like her more than i used to not liking her. Bleh. What the hell am i talking about? Moving on..

The movie is pretty good. It’s drama and has romantic comedy in it, which means i was crying at the near end of the story again. The story is about a mother and her daughters. The Wilder women, Daphne (Diane Keaton, The First Wives Club) has 3 daughters, Maggie (Lauren Graham, The Pacifier), Mae (Piper Perabo, Coyote Ugly), and Milly (Moore). Her first two daughters got married and everytime, she tries to get her youngest daughter to go out and have a relationship, which always fails. Until she decides to make her move by signing up for an online dating site for her daughter.

The main story is how Daphne keeps on taking control of everything, with her daughters, especially with Milly. They go through a lot of ups and downs but still manages to be there for each other.

That’s all i’m going to say because i might spoil the movie for those who would like to see it.

the puppy and basketball

Kendo is 7 months old now and he has been with us for one and a half months. He’s very smart but lazy. He just sleeps a lot. My mom and I train him very well and he knows a few tricks like sit, shake (hands), and (lie) down. I’m trying to teach him roll over too but he still doesn’t get it. He knows where to pee and that he should poop outside. So whenever he feels like he needs to do his business, he would try to catch our attention so we would bring him outside. If he can’t take it anymore, he has a spot in the kitchen where he poops.

My mom is so fond of him and takes a lot of pictures which you would find in my multiply site. I like taking pictures of him too but not as much as what my mom does. My pictures have variations and hers doesn’t. She also bought him clothes to wear and new toys to play with. She always makes sure that Kendo is clean and smells good. We clean him before he can get inside the house.

Here’s a video of him, which i’m so proud of. In this video, he’s doing some tricks, but still needs more practice.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLvjJBSNaaI
If it doesn’t load, go here. Or if you want to see more videos of Kendo, go here.

Mark was in the house again last Tuesday night because mom invited him for dinner again. He gave us tickets for their game against Coca-cola on Wednesday night, which was a good night because they won! Mom and I were cheering our hearts out and had so much fun. It’s been long since i last cheered for a team (meaning, it’s been long since i’ve been really, really loud ).

He was also here yesterday because mom invited him again. I was out running errands for her and she told me that they were going to pick me up instead. In short, she made Mark a driver. He doesn’t seem to mind though, i think it’s better than him being alone in his house, feeling bad for himself and lonely. He likes Kendo which is good because Kendo likes him too (teh puppy is GAY! joke).

We had pasta for dinner and i had the left-overs for lunch. So delish.

PBA: Talk ‘n Text vs. Alaska

Posted by nix On March - 8 - 2007

BOOHOO! i didn’t make my own layout. well, atleast i know how to but am just too busy or lazy to finish my own. LOL. It doesn’t matter, a layout is still a layout and once my shop is up and running i will have the time and money to be busy on small stuff such as creating my own layout. For now, i have to settle with modifying pre-made layouts.

A few weeks ago, my mom and i were surprised when Mark Cardona contacted her again, after 2 years. Hmm.. well, he has a problem and he was in need of proper counseling and my mom was very accepting. :hehe: I’m not going into detail of his problem but i’d like to share a new experience for me that was quite fun.

The other day he came over and it was my first time to see him in person. The first time he was over, i was in school and mom only informed me that he was there when he already left. I’m not really a big fan of basketball, but i do like watching sometimes though i still prefer Disney channel over basketball. He was supposed to come for dinner but instead he came over at aroudn 3pm because he had nothing else to do in his place. He gave us tickets for their game against Alaska which brings me to my next topic..

It was my first time to watch a basketball game live, aside from the somewhat lame intrams we used to have in school. At first i wasn’t really paying attention because i was busy munching on the nachos i bought. (We haven’t eaten anything and i was so hungry) Then when i had enough of the nachos, i watched the game and it was fun. Too bad Talk ‘n Text lost but it was still a nice game. I really enjoyed watching the game. I took a video of a really funny off-cam event but i haven’t uploaded it yet, it’s in my mom’s phone and she just left for San Francisco. So the pictures and the videos will have to wait.

P.S. we’re watching Mac’s team’s game against Coca-cola next week. BWAHAHAHA!

Binibining Pilipinas 2007

I waited last night and watched the Bb. Pilipinas 2007. I don’t really pay attention to this event but this year was different. Two Kapuso stars, Ailyn Luna and Margaret Wilson, are in the pageant and i wanted to know if they’ll make it. Unfortunately, the former didn’t even make it to the 12 finalist but the latter did better.

Margaret Wilson received special awards such as Miss Photogenic, Watson’s Style Icon Award, and Miss Ever Bilena. And she was crowned Bb. Pilipinas 2007 - World, wherein she will be representing the Philippines in this year’s Ms. World competition.

Anna Theresa Licaros, who was crowned Bb. Pilipinas 2007 - Universe, bagged most of the special awards such as Watson’s Woman Award, Miss Natasha, Miss Bacchus, and Miss Philippine Airlines.

The pageant was held in Araneta Colliseum and started at 7pm and was aired on t.v. at 10pm. I fell asleep at around 1am and the show wasn’t over yet and i only found out the results of who won only this afternoon.

Margaret Wilson was my gym mate when i was still enrolled in Gold’s gym. We attended the same hip-hop dance class but never really spoke with each other. She’s tall and morena, but i don’t like her that much. But i am still proud that she made it and she’s only 17! Last i saw her in person was in tito Douglas’ birthday.

more movies

Posted by nix On February - 24 - 2007

Last post was Lame. meh. why did i even bother? anyway, thanks Shari, for reminding me that word. i know i should have remembered what it was, passive, a common word in RPGs (skills).

I have decided to renew my host and domain for another year. I know i change my mind a lot but i was thinking, why the heck not? Though i have a new domain which will probably hold free downloadable stuff that i plan to do, it will also serve as my portfolio maybe. LOL.

I also got a hold of a skeleton layout and will use it to do my designing. It’s better than editing an already made layout which takes me more time to do. I just need to work on the CSS since i’ve already put the extra codes needed like scripts from plugins.

I’ve seen lots of movies again this week, in DVD’s and movie houses. I jsut couldn’t keep myself away from movie houses especially that i have money, money that i should have been saving up for an upcoming karaoke date with my friends. RAWR!

Feb. 21
American Pie Presents: The Naked mileLike Band Camp, The Naked Mile is a little less American Pie-ish but with a lot of nakedness and shit. The midgets look creepy and some scenes are gross. Ew.

Pledge This which stars Paris Hilton is so lame with a capital L! I rate it 1 because there’s no ZERO. Too bad.

Feb. 22
Material GirlsMaterial Girls was not bad. I don’t like Haylie Duff’s acting and i like Hilary better in A Cinderella Story. The movie reminded me of Disney Channel’s Cowbelles starring Aly and AJ Michalka.

The Number 23The Number 23 kind of scared me at first. I watched it in Shangri-La Plaza and was 10 minutes late, so i missed that bit but didn’t really miss much. I still understood the movie though there was a scene that reminded me of The Grudge 2. :faint: It’s so devilish.

Feb. 23
Ghost RiderSpeaking of devilish, Ghost Rider was cool! The effects and stunts are amazing but the sound effects hurt my ears. They were too loud inside the theather. Nicolas Cage has a nice body. He has abs! cool huh..

Music & LyricsMusic and Lyrics is my type of movie. Drew Barrymore is gorgeous and still looks like she’s in her 20’s, and Hugh Grant is funny with his 80’s dancing. Haley Bennett, who plays Cora Corma, is pretty too though her character was weird.

Now, off i go to make a layout. :D

There is HOPE!

Posted by nix On February - 22 - 2007

Does anybody really care about this issue? I guess so. I was listening to the radio (DZBB), and they were talking about the scoop about James Yap and “Hope”. For those who don’t know who James Yap is, he is a professional basketball player for the Purefoods Chunkee Giants in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He got married to Kris Aquino, famous TV host, who is pregnant with him. Picture of the couple, here.

The scoop is, that James was cheating on Kris all these time they were together. Hope comes out and gets interviewed by Lolit Solis, who told the story today in the radio and interview comes out on Saturday in Startalk.

Hope used to work in Bello as a.. i forgot the exact term. She always handles James’ facials or body scrub or whatever he gets done there, and more! Apparently, James courted her almost as the same time he was rumoured to Kris. She thought he was just linked to Kris and didn’t know they and wasn’t aware that they got married. So she falls for this guy who often comes to get facial/whatever. They even have code names. James is big bird and Hope was hopia. Why is James called big bird? Well, they say he has a BIG one.

They have been on since March last year till January 15 this year. Imagine, he was already married to Kris and he has a girlfriend too! Hmm.. the story seems familiar, but anyway, here’s the real scoop. Lolit then asks Hope where they have sex and she said they do it in the cubicle, James do it doggie style and also loves to get blown. Oh my. She then told Lolit that “James said” that Kris was, sorry i forgot the term too but it’s something like, she’s not that good in bed. OH MY!

Yeah i’m not a very good writer mainly because i forget stuff a lot but i can still tell the story. meh.

That’s pretty much it. That’s what i remember anyway. Watch Startalk on Saturday, 2:30pm on GMA7.

DVD = <3

Posted by nix On February - 19 - 2007

I went to the market on Saturday to buy a couple of Tinapang Bangus. Yep. I think it has become my favorite. I bought them for Sunday’s lunch. Ok, so when i was done, i went outside then i remembered that i wanted to look for a DVD vendor because i wanted to check out some DVD’s. I was in luck though when i saw a vendor just outside the market and he is selling 8in1’s and 12in1’s DVDs. I bought 3 — 12in1 teen movies, 12in1 korean films, and an 8in1 that doesn’t play which i want to return, i wish! I bought the teen movies because it has some movies that i have seen on HBO and would like to see in full again and the korean films because of a recommendation of Windstruck from Sheryl.

If you check my movie log, you’ll see i’ve seen 6 movies in the past 3 days. I first watched American Pie, a movie which i’ve seen on HBO when i was in high school, which means there were cuts. Plus, that was so many years ago and i’ve kind of forgotten some parts of the movie. It was funny. Oh my, here i am again. I am so not good with giving reviews, but then again, American Pie is an old movie so i guess almost everyone has seen it.

Next was American Pie 2, of course. I think i laughed more in this sequel than in the first movie. Like the first one, i’ve only seen this movie in HBO and i never started it. The DVD also has American Wedding which i didn’t watch again because i’ve seen it over and over.

American Pie Presents Band Camp is new to me. I only heard of it from something i read somewhere. I think from one of those Friendster Bulletin posts. For me it’s a little less American Pie-ish but still a pretty good story. I was thinking the girl looked familiar, then i remember her from John Tucker Must Die.

The last movie i saw on Saturday night was Windstruck. A korean film recommended by Sheryl. It’s a good movie, made me laugh a lot and cry at the end. A very touching story. Ji-Hyun Jun is very pretty and a very good actress.

Sunday night i watched Innocent Steps, a movie starring Geun-yeong Mun, another talented actress. I like her. I first saw her as a young Jenny from Endless Love. In this movie, she learns how to dance Rumba and Samba and she is very graceful.

And the movie i watched today, My Little Bride, is pretty funny too. Starring Geun-yeong Mun again with the guy from Attic Cat, Rae-won Kim. It has a sweet ending where the girl realised that she is the guy’s first love. awww… Anyway, all of the Korean movies i’ve seen so far are recommendable. :D

Gonna watch another Korean movie later.. bwahaha!!
