If you have no idea who Janina San Miguel is, then i suggest you watch this video of her in the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.
She won Bb. Pilipinas World, in which she is to represent the country in t he coming 2008 Ms. World pageant. Her winning the title is probably still questionable to some, but given a few months before the pageant, she could still practice her English. But, come on, how do you expect her to represent the Philippines if she can’t represent herself properly? In my opinion, it would have been a disgrace if she pursued the pageant.
Fortunately, she resigned as Bb. Pilipinas World due to personal reasons. From GMA News:
“The untimely demise of her grandfather, among other personal reasons, has caused her undue stress, thus hindering her from fulfilling her duties for the said title,” the BPCI statement read.
I’m guessing “other personal reasons” may mean she’s pregnant or something. LOL. I am SO mean. But think about it, there’s a probability, right? Or it could simply be because she got cold feet.
Anyway, replacing Janina San Miguel is 1st Runner-Up Danielle Castaño.

how sad is that, huh. wala ako tutol sa kanya, maganda, matangkad.. yun nga lang kulang sa speech lessons siguro. sayang sya ano, I guess cold feet would be the answer, biruin mo malapit na mag MISS U this Nov susme, last minute… kung ayaw na nya sana naman maaga pa para nakapag ready yung ppalit sa kanya diba? hayy…

@kitty, sabi kasi depression daw sa biglaang pagkamatay nung lolo nya. rason ba yun? kahit siguro super duper mega hanep sa closeness nyo, patay na yung tao siguro mas gugustuhin nya na sumali ka sa Ms. World na one-time thing lang diba? ewan ko ba sa kanya. pero buti na nga lang din. hehehe

Hmm. Naloka naman ako dito! ((: Kung preggy siya, bahala siya sa buhay niya pero ang tanga naman niya kung alam niyang may pageant tapos magpapabuntis.

Hi Nix! Soooo, nag resign pala sya?! Wow buti nalang. HALA Ang sama ko naman… pero kasi kung mangyari ulit yung nangyari sa Q&A if she does push through with the Miss World.. e nako.. nakakahiya… magmumukang beauty lang ang habol ng judges … e dapat ang winner, beauty and brains!

BUTI NA LANG! LOL. Aba’y ano na lang mangyayari sa pilipinas nyan pag lumaban sya. baka lalong magkagulo sa Mindanao! hahahaha
in the first place, i don’t know why the judges voted for her. Kitang-kita naman na she’s not the crown. Siguro ning pinapanood sa kanya yung video ng ginawa nya, she realized it — that other girls are much more worthy of the crown. In fairness, I commend her being honest to herself (even she’s lying about the real reason.)

im guessing she got cold feet.probably sank in that she is joining a very prestigious competition. Thank goodness she backed out just in time so they can at least train and educate the replacement. Janina may be beautiful but it still take more than beauty to have a crown and thats BRAINS!!!!!.i know she is not a native speaker of english but sana naman nag tagalong nlng siya….

@melody, i was kidding with the pregnancy thing, i’m it’s a possibility. alam mo naman panahon ngayon. but you know, if her reason is depression, that’s kind of lame, in my opinion. kasi competing for Ms. World is a one-time thing and to throw it away because your lolo died? call me mean but he’s already dead, you can’t do anything about it.
anyway, buti na lang talaga nag-back out sya. hahaha!
