Heroes season 3

Posted by nix On September - 23 - 2008

I have been waiting for this for so long. I was so excited when i found out that the release of the 3rd season was nearing and saved the date on my mobile. The exact release date was Sept. 22 and that would fall on the 23rd here in the Philippines. I got a hold of the torrent, i’m guessing, around an hour or more after it was aired in the US.

In the finale of season 2, we were left with questions like, who shot Nathan or is Nikki dead, among other things. And also, Sylar got his powers back, what’s to become of him? In the first 2 episodes, we are faced with revelations that answer some questions from the first 2 seasons.

If you haven’t seen the episodes yet, i warn you, there are spoilers in the next posts.

I was shocked when i found out that future Peter Petrelli was Nathan’s shooter. But Nathan survives this with the help of the dead Linderman. How could he have done this? Well, i’m not really sure if it was Linderman who saved his life, but it sure looks like it.

Hiro went to the future again and found himself killed by his best friend Ando. How sad. Well, it’s the future and it can still be changed by what’s happening in the present.

Nikki Sanders appears to be alive but claims that she is Tracy Strauss. She’s not super strong but she does have ice powers. Is she the ice lady now?

Hmm.. Sylar finally got a hold of Claire and copied her healing powers. Now this reveals how Sylar gets his powers from other Heroes. There was once a presumption that he ate his victims brains, in which he regarded in the segment, “that’s disgusting, Claire”.

Surprisingly, Claire is still alive. Sylar mentioned that she is different, she is special, and that he can’t kill her even if he wanted to. So does this have anything to do with the phrase, “Save the cheerleader. Save the world.”? Also, it leaves more questions in conjunction with the future Claire we were shown in the opening of the first episode.

Mohinder Suresh discovered what makes the Heroes powerful with the help of Maya. He then injected himself with a serum which he was about to throw out in the ocean. He did get powers but i knew they were of a price. What price is that, i don’t know yet. But he seems to be growing scales on his back.

Matt Parkman was sent to Africa by future Peter. He then meets a man who knows who he is and who seems to be clairvoyant too.

I can’t quite figure out how future Peter imprisoned present Peter in the body of who seems to be a really bad man. We’ll probably know that in the near future. But what we do know now is that if future Peter didn’t return to the past to shoot Nathan, then we wouldn’t be seeing this show right now. Although, he may have made things worse just as like what Angela Petrelli said.

Speaking of Angela Petrelli, she sure is the character to look out for. We now know what her powers are, and she has revealed that hers is the first power that Peter copied as a boy. And that is having dreams of the future. Can’t they think of any other powers? It seems that she’s the 3rd character who’s clairvoyant. Anyway, i’m sure the character was given such powers to justify everything else.

Another secret of Angela Petrelli was revealed at the end of season 2. And that is Sylar is her son. Dun, dun, dun. I’m guessing that she decided to reveal this secret now because of the dream she had, everyone was killed and the others became the villains and that Sylar was right by her side. Also, she might have given away Sylar because she foresaw what he would have become. But because of recent events, she had to reveal them. Was that redundant? LOL.
