It has been months, or maybe a year, since I’ve been infected with a spyware. I’ve had the rare opportunity of even getting a virus since I’ve had so many experiences in getting them via downloading malicious contents when i didn’t know better. And then last night, i was victimized.

It has only been 3 weeks since i reformatted my PC because i felt that everything is out of place and I felt that I’d have the hard drive space i needed if i did reformat. And so, i just finished reformatting again. I’m quite happy now because I’m restarting all over again. Another clean slate, plus i had everything backed-up unlike 8 years ago when i barely knew anything about my PC.

Ironically, this incident happened right after my cousin installed a new anti-virus. Doesn’t that just suck? But it doesn’t matter, now i am sure i won’t be victimized in the near future.

I keep getting free adverts on my cellphone with a menu of polyphonic ringtones to download. For one thing, my cellphone unit is not capable of handling polyphonic ringtones. Poor me. But i don’t mind. I only use my cellphone for texting and i rarely load credits on it anyway.

I remember when i still had my N3650, even if my cellphone was capable of using different message alert tones, i still used the standard beep beep and rarely used polyphonic ringtones. Though i liked collecting WAV tones. I would often borrow a friend or classmate’s cellphone and raid it of it’s WAV tones. I also made ones myself, with higher quality and increased volume.

For the past 2 years i have participated in their Christmas promo. Almost everyone knows this, but just for the sake of explaining.. For every purchase of hot or iced coffee or frap, you’d be given a promo card with a sticker or if you already have the card, you’ll be given just the sticker. You need a total of 24 stickers to complete the card and you could have it exchanged for their custom made planner. I’m not really a Starbucks fanatic, we rarely go to Starbucks but in 2005, my mom and i were in a mall and she had the sudden urge of drinking a frap so that was the first time i learned of the Christmas promo. I finished the card and got the planner for my mom. It had coupons and i took some of them to benefit myself. She loved it but rarely used the planner. In 2006, i once again participated in the promo and was able to get the planner for myself, but it was bulky and heavy so i rarely used it too. My friend Li-j wanted it but i didn’t give it to her because i thought i was gonna use it. In 2007, i decided not to participate in the promo because i always find myself broke. I distanced myself from the coffee shop because i didn’t even want to see what kind of planner they had this year.

But during our Christmas dog party, the group decided to head to Starbucks because we were there too early for lunch. The stores haven’t even opened yet. And tita Meko treated me for a frap and she was given the card for it and she then gave it to me. It had 2 stickers and i read in their flier that there was a promo at two different times of the day wherein you’d get your sticker times two. So i thought i could still avail of the planner after all! But after that day, i was busy, i was not able to go outside nor get close to a Starbucks to get my frap. And i was broke too. But then last Sunday, our YP fellowship had an outing. We spent the afternoon at Serendra and during late afternoon some of us headed to Starbucks and had coffee. It was such a bummer that i left my card at home but i was told i could combine the stickers with the new card. Since there were plenty of us, Tita Myrna took my card and said that the other parents might come in and have coffee. So i said fine. But the times two promo was over already which sucks.

To make the longer story shorter, i’m down to 5 stickers. And the promo is up until Jan. 15 only. I’ve had 4 stickers in 2 days and there’s 3 days more. Think i’ll be able to avail of the planner? I hope so.

We were supposed to go to Tita Aji’s place last night because we were invited for dinner. It’s a Christmas dinner for their group of friends, but unfortunately, it was canceled. Too bad too, because i was so looking forward that dinner. Meh..

Anyway, there’s another Christmas dinner we were invited to. And it would be on Christmas Eve at Tita Annie’s place.
