I’ve learned of Camp Rock from Alyson Stoner. She plays the character of Caitlyn, a girl who became Mitchie Torres‘ (Demi Lovato) friend in Camp Rock. I expected to see Alyson dancing because i find her a great dancer, but she didn’t. There was a scene were they were dancing but it wasn’t focused on her. Jasmine Richards (Margaret on Naturally Sadie) however, had a small role but was given the opportunity to perform a solo on the end part. She has a nice voice though her performance in that scene, in my opinion, over. she was swaying too much.
Demi Lovato didn’t do bad either. I think she kind of resembles Lalaine (Miranda Sanchez from Lizzie McGuire) in my eyes. She’s a good singer too. Though her body movements in the last song she rendered was over-acting for me. Kinda reminded me of V’s solo on HSM1 when she “broke up” with Troy Bolton.
The storyline is average, nothing really special. Just the usual be yourself and do great and fall in love with the hunky guy who just happens to be Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.
