By the way, my pug has a very long name which will only be written on his certificate, to make things official. That’s why we’re thinking of a nickname, a shorter to name to call him. It was supposed to be only Kendo Sumo but we were advised to have the first name start with “G” so that all the puppies in the batch would have the same first letter name.
“Manny Pacmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Pacquiao!!!”, that’s how the announcer said his name on the television. As a filipino, i am very proud of Manny and his accomplishments in pride of the Filipino people.
Manny prepared and trained hard for this battle and his hard works came through. He did better than what i expected.
It was a quick and brutal end for Mexico’s El Terrible after Pacquiao stopped him two minutes and 57 seconds into the third round, leaving the three-time world champion seated on the canvas and shaking his head, saying he did not want to continue. Source: Pacquiao knocks out Morales - inq7.net
I didn’t get to see his actual match but i saw his victory in the news. I was full of emotion and i almost cried. I saw how Morales was obviously losing in the first two rounds. Pacquiao’s punches must have knocked his brains out. *lol*
I am also proud of Pacman for the fact that he thanked God for his victory. And his fans and fellow filipinos for supporting and believing in him.
A proud and jubilant Manny Pacquiao thanked God and thanked his fans who stayed glued to the radio and the TV to witness his third round knockout of Mexican Erik Morales at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (Manila time). I had to watch the news in ABS-CBN to actually learn about Pacman’s triumph. I think they have exclusive rights to air the news, i guess it’s their way of getting higher ratings. Plus GMA doesn’t have any news programs on weekends except for flash reports and late night news. Bummer.
The ABS news consisted of only Pacquiao-Morales fight. Everything was about the victory. From the actual fight, to his family, to the fans, to those filipinos in other countries, to the local celebrities and politicians who went to see the fight shown live in Rockwell cinemas.
It was annoying to see filipinos in other countries being interviewed and answering in a slang-english manner like they don’t know how to speak their filipino anymore. How stupid and pathetic. Even the guy in one of the local bars who was interviewed spoke in the same manner. I tell you, it isn’t amusing. It is STUPID AND PATHETIC. What’s more irritating is that their english is weak and their grammars poor.
There was this guy in the bar who was the only Mexican in the place who cheered for Morales. Imagine him in a room full of Filipinos cheering for Pacquiao. He was a good sport despite the teasing and booing by the other people in the bar.
I was amazed to find out that Sarah Geronimo sang the Philippine Anthem in the fight. She should have been chosen the last time too. Remember that girl who sang the last time? She was BAD! Being nervous and not hearing your minus-one isn’t an excuse for messing up the song. If she was a REAL singer she wouldn’t have messed up. Inaartehan pa kasi eh pwede naman kantahin ng normal lang. Palibhasa nagpapasikat at baka sakaling ma-discover.
Apparently Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby were shooting their new movie when the fight took place. Sam Milby was interviewed and he looked stupid and dumb when he was telling the story of how he thought Pacman lost. He’s not even good looking! gawd! What the hell do people see in him? There was even a time when i saw a poll of him against Richard Gutierrez with the question: Who is more good looking? DUH! No contest there.
No offense to people who like ABS and Sam Milby.
