Across the Universe
The music of the Beatles and the Vietnam War form the backdrop for the romance between an upper-class American girl and a poor Liverpudlian artist.
When i first saw the poster of this movie before it was shown in theaters, i told myself, “I want to see this. It looks like a very romantic movie”. But i failed to see it, until 3 nights ago, when i popped the DVD in the Player.
It’s a cool movie in a sense that they were able to make the Beatles’ song fit into one epic love story. I found some parts boring and skipped ahead. Sadie (Dana Fuchs) has awesome vocals and i would like to have them. LOL.
Starring Evan Rachel Wood as Lucy (in the sky with diamond.. although the song was used in the end credits), Jim Sturgess as Jude (Hey, Jude.. i was waiting for the song to come up..), Joe Anderson, Martin Luther, T.V. Carpio, and Spencer Liff.
I am not in love with the song Across the Universe.
