I remember taking note of Dollhouse and putting it under my imaginary “will check out” list. As usual, i forgot about it until i saw the DVD copy. I watched it right away and finished the whole first season.
The storyline is similar with Surrogates and the concept from Matrix, but Dollhouse use real people, real brainwashed people. According to Imdb.com, the plot of Dollhouse, “A futuristic laboratory assigns different tasks to its various residents, who then have their memories erased upon the completion of their assignments.”
Eliza Dushku is Echo, a resident of the dollhouse, she’s the best doll in the house. The dolls are imprinted with whatever the client wants, it could be anything, and the doll won’t remember anything that happened between him/her and the client after the “treatment”. You could have an Orlando vacation and take a doll to accompany you, with your choice of personality and traits.
The show has really caught my interest and i’m waiting for a DVD release of the 2nd season. I was surprised to hear Dushku sing, she has a good voice.
