The Forgotten

I find Wednesdays kinda boring because none of my favorite shows are aired in the US on Tuesday nights. So i decided to look for something that might catch my interest, and i found The Forgotten, from ABC, starring Christian Slater. He plays Alex Donovan, a former cop, who now leads a group of civilians who is a part of The Forgotten Network.

When a case has reached a dead end, when the police can’t find any helpful information about a victim, the cases are handed over to The Forgotten Network. They look at places the police may have overlooked, to find information about the victim.

Apparently, the police has only ample time in solving a particular case, and once they can’t find anything else to solve it, they move onto the next one. I guess this is where the story angle of Cold Case comes. But The Forgotten is different, because it is handled by civilian volunteers.

I have only seen two episodes and i have no interest in continuing. First off, how come these people, untrained civilians, find clues that trained police officers couldn’t? That doesn’t make sense to me.

The show starts with a narration from the victim, and ends with the victim stating his/her name and a short message. I guess it’s for more exposure other than just being dead. Haha. The faacial reconstruction thing is cool though, the guy sculps the victims ruined face based from photos taken durring the investigation and autopsy.

Anyway, you be the judge.
